Jay Z Under Investigation for Giving Expensive Watch to Robinson Cano

Remember years ago when a sports writer outed Jay Z for shacking up with former Kansas City running back Larry Johnson in a posh condo? Well, Jay Z might be at it again.

According to multiple reports, Jigga is under investigation for gifting New York Yankees star second baseman Robinson Cano with an expensive wristwatch for his birthday. Jay Z signed the 31-year-old star to his Roc Nation Sports agency earlier this year. Now he is under investigation for violating league rules.

None of this would be a problem if Cano didn’t run to his Instagram to floss the expensive timepiece like a groupie.

“Thanks to the ROC NATION my birthday gift,” Cano wrote in the caption.

Within minutes, the sports world was abuzz about how Jay Z, who is married to singer Beyonce, was sprung over yet another male athlete.

The Bleacherreport.com notes that The baseball league’s players association is investigating whether Jay Z was in violation of the union’s agent regulations covering gifts for athletes. In every level of sports there are rules that players and agents must follow. Of course, Jay Z thinks he’s above all that.

The rap mogul gifted Cano with the $33,000 watch at Cano’s recent birthday celebration in Belgium, per ESPN.com’s Jerry Crasnick.

Crasnick points out a clause in the contract that states players cannot receive gifts from sports agents in excess of $500 and if a gift exceeds that amount it would have to be disclosed to the union in writing.

Maybe Cano thought posting the watch on Instagram was sufficient?

If found guilty of committing the violation, Jay Z could face undisclosed disciplinary action.

Lamar Odom isn’t home free just yet!

Over the weekend, we got some insight into how Khloe Kardashian feels about her troubled marriage as she confessed in front of E! cameras, “I laugh to keep from crying.” Now, more details have emerged, as sources tell People magazine that Khloe doesn’t know if she can ever be happy with Lamar again.

A source revealed:

“There are no talks about reconciliation. Khloé is very frustrated when it comes to Lamar. The fact that he doesn’t seem to care to shape up makes Khloé act like she is over him.”

While another added:

“Khloé doesn’t know how they’ll ever be a happy, married couple again. She is very hurt that he’s lied to her about being clean. And she’s made it clear that he can’t spend time with her family until he is.”

As his marriage implodes, Lamar, who has allegedly been struggling with substance abuse, is barely hanging onto his freedom. He recently faced a DUI arrest and, more recently, dodged criminal prosecution after damaging a paparazzo’s camera equipment. TMZ reports:

“Lamar went to the L.A. City Attorney’s Office Monday for an office hearing, along with his lawyer, Shawn Holley. A hearing officer told Lamar he would NOT be prosecuted for vandalism, provided that he pay for the damaged equipment. He was also told if he broke the law within a year’s time from when the incident happened … criminal charges would be filed. Sources connected with Lamar tell TMZ … he also agreed to get anger management counseling.”

Seems to us that Lamar may need more than anger management, especially since Khloe told the world how much of a depressed person he truly is.

Though most wouldn’t imagine it to be true, apparently Kanye West is a breeze to work with, according to one of his favorite designer labels, that is.

After infamously rapping, “What’s that jacket, Margiela?” on the hit single “Niggas In Paris,” Maison Martin Margiela became a household name in the Hip-Pop community. As fate would have it, the international superstar would go on to use the avante-garde label to create costumes and masks for his worldwide Yeezus Tour.

So what was working with Yeezus, The God, like? And how much input did Kanye actually have in regard to designing the inspirational tour looks that have become hot topics on blogs across the globe? The Belgian designer has all that info and more in his most recent interview with ELLE Magazine, and he has nothing but great things to say about working with Kanye.

What was the process of working with Kanye like?

Everything went very smoothly between Kanye West and Maison Martin Margiela, as we had wanted to work together for a long time. We have the same eye for detail and care for quality and design.

How did you arrive at the designs used?

We firstly went through the Maison’s archive as we both wanted the wardrobe to encompass the whole spirit of Maison Martin Margiela’s creations. We selected iconic pieces and proposed silhouettes that would match with artist Vanessa Beecroft’s scenography. We then found different ways to transform the pieces into a stage wardrobe.

What techniques were used?

We had to source new fabrics to adapt the garments—a military cape was made out of vintage military jackets and bags, for example. Embroideries, fabric treatments, and washing treatments were strengthened so that the pieces would remain in the same shapes and retain the same freshness throughout the duration of the whole tour. Creativity was maximized as we realized haute couture pieces in our Parisian atelier; we had no creation limits.

Which costume took the longest to create?

The haute couture elongated embroidered bomber jacket that Kanye is wearing took a lot of time to create as we had to adapt a 1900s dress onto a bomber jacket.

What input did Kanye have?

Kanye has been very involved in the project since the very beginning and brought a lot of his own ideas into the creative process. While the Maison was able to visualize the garments and the overall construction, Kanye brought a stage expertise, knowing how to adapt pieces in a stage context, so that they would be seen from afar and retain all original functions from the first date, till the very last.

The signs of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s troubled marriage were always there apparently, and E! cameras caught them all on tape for the reality TV star’s most recent cameo on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

During last night’s episode, in a heated moment of frustration and while on a road trip with her family, Khloe told her estranged hubby off, after learning from a friend that Lamar was nowhere to be found and was not picking up the phone.

She asked the caller:

“So he’s MIA?”

Just before saying in front of the cameras:

“I’ve been down this road probably way more times than I’d like to admit. If someone wants to leave, they want to leave.”

Wow! When Khloe finally spoke to Lam Lam, she let him have it:

“You’re not my child, I can’t lock you in a room — as much as I would like to.”

As we all know, Lamar is allegedly battling drug addiction and was recently arrested for a DUI.

Ironically enough Khloe, Bruce, and Kendall Jenner began to discuss Cory Monteith’s recent death (due to drug addiction) and after Khloe defended drug abusers, commenting that it’s not a choice but a disease, her stepdad Bruce chimed in:

“No. It is a personal choice. You know what you’re doing? You’re taking the responsibility away from the person. This guy had a choice to take drugs. It’s his own fault. You can’t blame anybody else but him!”

That hit close to home. Hopefully, Khloe and Lamar’s relationship is on the mend.

Kanye West Compares Kim Kardashian To Michelle Obama

Kanye Westis a man in love -- so in love thathe may even be blinded by it.

The 36-year-old rapper has been gushing non-stop about his new fiancee Kim Kardashian,but, after his interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Oct. 29,it's becoming apparent that his judgementmightalso be rose-colored.

While chatting with Seacrest, Westwas asked whatfrustrates him, towhich he replied:

"Now for me,whatI wanttocreate isn’taboutblack and white, butthe reason why I’m notable tocreate what I want to create is aboutbeing black and is aboutclassism.
