Kanye West Compares Kim Kardashian To Michelle Obama

Kanye Westis a man in love -- so in love thathe may even be blinded by it.

The 36-year-old rapper has been gushing non-stop about his new fiancee Kim Kardashian, but, after his interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Oct. 29,it's becoming apparent that his judgementmightalso be rose-colored.

While chatting with Seacrest, Westwas asked whatfrustrates him, towhich he replied:

"Now for me,whatI wanttocreate isn’taboutblack and white, butthe reason why I’m notable tocreate what I want to create is aboutbeing black and is aboutclassism. And that’s that wallwhen I took [Kim] tothe Met Ball and they putitup on Vogue.com and tried tosayshe wasn’tthere because they didn’t wanta reality show girl there," he told Seacrest. He also broughtup the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which has decreed Kardashian ineligible for the honor because she's a reality star.

"And classism has been going on before racism ... No, we’re classist. We have our cool table. We gotour house in the Hamptons. We gotour boat, and we gotour tickettothe Met Ball… And there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue," Westsaid."She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like every day ... and collectively we’re the most influential with clothing."

Westcontinued, "No one is looking at what[President] Obama is wearing. Michelle Obama cannotInstagram a pic like whatmy girl Instagrammed the other day." And whenKim landed the cover of CR Fashion Book, the rapper saw itas a breakthrough. "[Former French Vogue editor] Carine Roitfeld supports mygirl. That's a breakthrough. There's a wall of classism thatwe are breaking through."

It's clear that Westfeels like he's fighting for both he and Kim tobreak through some barriers, but his comparisons tothe Obamas are likely todraw ire from more than a few. Of course, name dropping the president could be his attempttomake sure Obama keeps mentioning him as well.
